The Olympic Games are a symbol of equality, unity and respect. Hosting the games is not just a reward; it's first and foremost a responsibility in front of the whole world. Russia needs to respect freedom of choice and the rights of all, regardless of their origins, beliefs and sexual preferences. Homophobic and xenophobic attitudes towards athletes are a disgrace to the Olympic spirit.
